Nice to meet you .My name is Yuya Fujiki.This is my first time to write this blog today.
Beginnig today I'd like more people to know how wonderful Ise city is.
I'm in two minds that I should tell you about "Naiku"or"Geku".
I mean Ise shrine has an inner shrine and outer shrine.
We usually call the outer shrine "Geku"
This time I'll tell you about "the Geku".
After five-minute walk from Ise station, you can see a great forest around the area which has been redeveloped.
It's the Geku.
A great forest and giant aged trees give the Geku an air of holiness and mystery.
The official name of the Geku is "Toyouke Daijingu",which was founded almost 1500 years ago.
From ancient times , It's a custom for worshippers to visit the Geku first and then the Naiku(inner shrine).I recommend we follow the custom.
But if you don't have time to visit both of them It may be better for you to visit the Naiku.You can probably be satisfied with your stay in Ise and enjoy it !
Let's take one step inside if you get to the Geku.You will be surprised.
It's like a different world.You can feel an aura of mystery created by the Geku.
During your stay in the Geku and the ceremony worshippers pray to "Kami" that they might be safe that year and their wishes might be granted.
Kami is called "Toyouke Omikami".Toyouke Omikami is the Kami of agriculture and industry bestowing rice and outer foods ,clothing and shelter.
Lately more and more people have been coming to Ise Because "power spots",which are said to make people healthier and more energetic,are being given media attention.
After worshipping how about enjoying lunch? There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants around the Geku.
Ise is also famous for their nice meals.You can taste a fine meal.
People in Ise and delicious food will definitely make you feel good

Let's go to the Naiku!!
